Valley Link Transmission, a joint venture between Dominion Energy, First Energy Transmission, and Transource Energy, is proposing a new 765-kV electrical transmission line between Putnam County, West Virginia and Frederick County, Maryland. The line would involve new structures at least 150 feet tall. Several route alternatives have been released by Valley Link Transmission with some having significant impacts on Clarke County.
