Clarke County does not employ a full-time attorney and instead uses an outside firm for legal services. 

Following a procurement in 2024, McGavin, Boyce, Bardot, Thorsen, & Katz, P.C. was contracted to provide comprehensive legal services to the County. The firm will advise and represent the County in legal matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws while supporting effective governance and public service.
