Addendum 001:  Due to the forecasted snows on Tuesday, February 11, the County is extending the deadline for proposal submission to 3:00pm on Friday, February 14, 2024.    (Posted 2/10 at 11:19 am) 

The Clarke County Purchasing Office, on behalf of the Clarke County Joint Maintenance Department, is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified vendors for Turf Mowing and other miscellaneous lawn work for various government and school locations.

Sealed proposals should be clearly marked, "RFP #25-0211 Turf Mowing Services."   Proposals must be received in at least one of the two ways below: 

  • By delivering the sealed proposal in the Clarke County Purchasing Office before 3:00:00 p.m. (local prevailing time), Friday, February 14, 2025.
  • By posting electronically on eVA before the deadline of 3:00:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025. 

 *Note that there will be a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Clarke County Purchasing Office (129 Ramsburg Lane, Berryville, VA 22611).   After everyone has signed-in and a brief review of the RFP is completed, the County/Schools Maintenance Director, Joey Braithwaite, will ask interested vendors if any locations need to be evaluated and will take vendors to those respective areas.  In other words, this is an opportunity for interested vendors to evaluate the areas to be mowed and ask questions.  Interested vendors are encouraged to take this opportunity to view the areas to be mowed so that future trips are not needed for either our staff or you, the interested vendor.

 Proposals received after the due date of 3:00:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 will not be accepted.
