Clarke County Office of Elections Voter Registration and Absentee Voting
The Deadline to Register to Vote or Update an Existing Registration before the June 17, 2025 Democratic Party Primary
Tuesday, May 27, 2025
You may register to vote in person at your local Voter Registration Office until 5:00 PM or at designated State voter registration agencies no later than their normal close of business on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Applicants with a Virginia DMV license or identification card can submit an application electronically at www.elections.virginia.gov or download, complete and mail the voter registration application, postmarked no later than Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

Absentee Voting begins May 2, 2025: June 6th is the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail; June 14th is the last day to vote early in-person.

The Clarke County Office of Elections is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM for voter registration and early voting. The office will also be open Saturdays, June 7th and June 14th from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM for early voting.

On Election Day, June 17, 2025, voters may only vote at their regular polling place. Polls are open 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on June 17th.
