BERRYVILLE, VA (Sept. 29, 2021) Clarke County wants its residents and business owners to participate in a survey to help the county win a grant to expand universal fiber broadband. In August, the Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to participate in a regional Virginia Telecommunications Initiative (VATI) grant with All Points Broadband and a number of surrounding localities through the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission (NSVRC).

As part of its planning effort, a list of unserved locations was submitted to the state agency because the grants are only available in areas that are unserved by broadband.

Several providers, including Comcast, Winchester Wireless, and Shentel, have challenged All Points Broadband’s list of unserved locations in Clarke County by claiming to offer broadband service within areas proposed for grant funding.

If your home or business in Clarke County is unserved by broadband, please take a few minutes to complete this survey to verify whether or not your location has broadband access today. Survey deadline is Oct. 1, 2021.

Without adequate survey responses from you and your neighbors, your area may be excluded from the broadband grant project.
