Post Date:05/01/2020 12:52 PM
BERRYVILLE, VA (May 1, 2020) Clarke County has moved its tax due date from June 5 to 30, 2020, because of the coronavirus pandemic and related shutdowns. The first half of 2020 real estate and personal property taxes originally due by June 5 are now due by Tuesday, June 30. Notices regarding the new deadline will be included in tax bills, which should be in the mail to taxpayers by mid-May.

Clarke County government offices remain open with staff responding to phones and email; however, all walk-up windows in the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center are closed in accordance with current social-distancing protocols.

Individuals are strongly encouraged to pay taxes online. Go to and click the “Online Payments” button. Or, mail tax payments to Clarke County Treasurer, P.O. Box 537, Berryville, VA 22611.
