Thompson (property owners)</b>, requests approval of a Special Use Permit (SUP) to operate a Community Services Facility pursuant to Section 5.2E of the Clarke County Zoning Ordinance.&nbsp; Specifically, the proposed special use would be a non-commercial recreational facility for outdoor events and gatherings. Events and gatherings are proposed to consist of community picnics, family reunions, car shows, dog runs, and similar small-scale activities. The subject property is identified as Tax Map #28A-A-42A, zoned Rural Residential (RR), with a total land area of approximately 8.17 acres. The property is located along the east side of White Post Road (Route 658), approximately 765 feet south of its intersection with Berrys Ferry Road (Route 628) in the White Post Election District.&nbsp; Properties identified as Tax Map #28A-A-53 and 28A-A-54, located on the west side of White Post Road, have been removed from the application. <strong></strong></p><p>Information regarding the above matters including copies of proposed plans, ordinances, or amendments, is available to the public in the Department of Planning (2<sup>nd</sup> floor, Berryville-Clarke County Government Center, 101 Chalmers Court, Berryville, VA) and on the County website (<a href="http://www.clarkecounty.gov/">www.clarkecounty.gov</a>). Any person desiring to speak on the above matter should appear at the public hearing.
