The Clarke County Board of Supervisors is providing notice of an intention to propose ordinances for passage and will conduct three public hearings in the Berryville Clarke County Government Center Main Meeting Room, 101 Chalmers Court, 2nd Floor, Berryville, VA, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 6:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matters may be heard, to hear public comment on the following:

PH2025-12: TA-25-04. Pending Applications Impacted by Text Amendments. Proposed text amendment to amend Zoning Ordinance Section 1.4 (Transition to Current Zoning Ordinance) and Subdivision Ordinance Section 1.4 (Transition to Current Subdivision Ordinance). The purpose is to apply new regulations that are adopted by text amendment to all pending applications that are under review. Applicants with pending applications would be required to withdraw and re-file or amend their applications to conform to the new regulations. Failure to conform to the newly-adopted text amendment would result in denial of the application by the approval authority. Zoning Ordinance Section 1.4.2C (Status of Applications) and Subdivision Ordinance Section 1.4.2B (Status of Applications) would be deleted as these sections are no longer necessary.

Information regarding the above matters, including copies of the proposed text amendments, may be examined on the County’s website (www.clarkecounty.gov) and at the County Administration office located in the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center, 101 Chalmers Court, Berryville, Virginia. Any person desiring to speak on the above matters should appear at the appointed time and place.
