Directions
From Eastbound Route 7 (Harry Byrd Hwy) , take Business Route 7 (West Main St) towards downtown Berryville. Turn right at Westwood Rd (immediately after DG Cooley School).  After passing the Clarke County High School, take the next right onto Ramsburg Lane. We are at the very end of Ramsburg Lane (on the left before the gate).

Adopting a friend
You must live in surrounding counties to adopt an animal under 5 months old.

We are very Adoptee and Rescue Friendly
If you are a 501c3 rescue with references and want to rescue one of our animals please contact us.

Adoption Fees
It is $10.00 to adopt any animal from our shelter.

Donations
Donations can be sent to: The Clarke County Humane Foundation, and mail to P.O. Box 713 Berryville, VA 22611.

The Clarke County Humane Foundation pays for spaying and neutering of  animals adopted from our shelter by Clarke County Residents and provides a subsidy program for residents of Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun or Warren Counties.

Animals old enough to be altered and are eligible for free or subsidized spay/neuter program, shall be altered prior to leaving the shelter.

Animals old enough to be altered but not eligible for subsidy or subsidy declined must be altered within 30 days of the adoption date.

At time of adoption, animals not old enough to be altered but qualifying for free or subsidized spay/neuter, must be taken by the adopter to a participating veterinarian within 30 days of the animal reaching 6 months of age.

If ineligible or assistance declined, animals not old enough to be altered at time of adoption shall be altered by the veterinarian of adopter’s choice within 30 days of the animal reaching 6 months of age and written certification of alternation from veterinarian who performed such procedure shall be provided to Clarke County Animal Shelter.
