Purpose:

To decide on applications for variances from Zoning Ordinance regulations when a literal enforcment of the Ordinance will result in a hardhsip approaching confiscation of the use of a property (as opposed to a convenience).
To decide on appeals from the decisions of the Zoning Administrator or any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative
officer in the administration or enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
To decide on interpretations of the Zoning Map where there is any uncertainty as to
location of a zoning district boundary.
To decide on applications
for such special exceptions as may be authorized in the Zoning Ordinance.

Membership:

The Clarke County Circuit Court
